full marks to Adam for noticing . the light Blue Photo recon Spitfire has a five bladed propeller indicating it has a Griffon Engine. the Spitfire is the only Aircraft i know which used a 2, 3, 4 5...

Well aren't I smart :-). Another clue to spotting a Griffon is its size, as it is marginally longer than the merlin and spits carrying the griffon appear to have longer snouts, and if you're lucky...
